QUESTION POSED ON: 02 November 2005 Security Settings for our local intranet zone in Internet Explorer need to be adjusted for our complete company. It is the setting under miscellaneous category called 'Access data sources across domains', and the setting must be enabled. We cannot do this through group policies, so I guess we need to script this. Any suggestions?

EXPERT RESPONSE
According to Microsoft's own documentation, it's possible to do this when you have a Windows XP system that has been updated with Service Pack 2. SP2 includes new Security Zone Policy settings, one of which is allowing access to data sources across domains. It's also possible to set these values "by hand" using a Registry edit rather than a group policy, if you want to do it that way.
