Storage Area Network (SAN) Management for Windows

In a storage area network, or SAN, the storage mechanism (usually a disk array) is not directly attached to the Windows server. Storage area networks allow multiple servers to share a common storage mechanism. This topic page features storage area network tutorials, news and guides, as well as advice from Windows storage experts on how to install your SAN and keep it running. Here you will also find tips for troubleshooting SAN configuration problems, the differences and similarities between SANs and network-attached storage (NAS), and even technical information to help you decide if a storage area network is right for you.
